| The US Postal Service is starting a new advertising campaign entitled "Celebrate the Century Express."
Amtrak is being contracted to run a special ad train around the country starting in the Spring of '99 for two years. The locomotive,
"Genesis" P42 #100, has been repainted at the Amtrak Bear, Delaware facility into a Postal Service-specified scheme of bright
yellow with a montage of different stamps. The unit is pictured sitting outside the Bear facility in its new paint.
The nose of the unit displays Amtrak lettering and USPS graphics. The stamp detail on the locomotive is very impressive!
Reportedly, several cars for the train are being completed at Northern Rail Car in Milwaukee, WI. (Photos and news by M. Johnson)
